The answer will depend on your specific circumstances. Here are some general guidelines:

  • If you are knowledge-rich on a topic, hiring a Filipino will work well. For example, if you are a marketing manager looking for a blogger, hiring a Filipino blogger is a great option that will save you a lot of expense.
  • If you are a start-up and new to running a business, we strongly suggest that you start with an Australian — even if it’s only part-time. Have your Australian employee perfect the process and set the metrics (with your involvement). Once you’re satisfied with the workflows of this role, consider handing the role over to one of our Filipino crew members.
    • Here’s something to consider. Offshore staffing became a trend when Fortune 500 companies decided they wanted to save money. They had literally hundreds of people sitting in their onshore offices, performing processes that were running like clockwork. Those companies decided to send those processes overseas. They would send onshore managers overseas as well, often for years, to ensure that those processes remained at a standard that justified the cost reduction.
    • Here’s another way to look at it. The less you know about a subject, the more senior your employee needs to be. The fewer processes you have built, the more senior your employee needs to be, to offset your lack of preparation. If you know nothing about finances, do not hire a junior bookkeeper. Hire a CFO. When all of the financial processes and forecasts have been created, add a bookkeeper to your team — and either retain the CFO or have them step away.

All MCC staff work full-time for My Cloud Crew. They will work for you for 2,0 40, 80, 120 or 180 hours per month, depending on the package that you choose when you lease one of our crew members.

Your MCC member will be available to work from 8:30AM to 5:30PM AEST, Monday to Friday — unless you choose a crew member from an alternative time zone.

All billable time is accounted for within our cloud task/staff management platform. This is updated in real time as your crew member lets the virtual clock run against the task they’re working on. If you require your crew to do overtime, simply let them know; we can bill the overtime automatically on the next billing cycle.

Generally, all MCC staff are required to provide their clients and My Cloud Crew with a two-week notice when applying for leave. The number of annual leave days depends on the location of your virtual employee. If they are in the Philippines, they have up to 15 days of paid leave, as reflected in our terms of service. This equates to 1.25 days per month. This means that should you have a full-time MCC employee, they will be entitled to 1.25 days per month of paid leave. The way this plays out, in reality, is that your monthly staffing retainer amount will remain the same (i.e., will not be reduced) if your virtual employee takes their 1.25 days off. If you have leased your team member for less than a full-time load, the same maths will apply — as a percentage of a full-time load.

Throughout your relationship with My Cloud Crew, you will have a single point of contact for everything from hiring, chairing interviews, initiating performance improvement programs, coaching and feedback, and any billing issues.

Everything from creating a training calendar, to training volume and length, to setting key performance indicators and so much more — all designed to make this experience easier for you. You will have access to all of this when you register online.

We check hour logs on a monthly basis, so you will only be billed for overtime if you exceed the total monthly allotted time. For example, if you lease a crew member 40 hours per month, you will only be charged overtime if you request your crew member to exceed the 40 hours. This overtime will be billed during the first week of the following month.

If your crew member doesn’t consume 100% of their allocated hours due to absences, they will make up for those hours during the following month. Under all other circumstances, you being the boss, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure that your crew member is kept busy doing the job that you hired them for.

If you would like to part ways with your MCC staff, we would follow the best practice performance improvement (PIP) process. If you have provided feedback and identified specific areas that need improvement, and still, performance does not improve, let them know via a video conference that they are being let go from your team. We will replace your crew member within 24 hours.

If the same performance issues arise, you may terminate your staff leasing agreement with My Cloud Crew. For terminations that take place before the 15th of the month, your crew member’s final day with you will be the final day of that month. For terminations that take place after the 15th of the month, the contract ends on the 15th of the following month.

As payments are made in advance, please note that refunds will not be provided should you fire your crew after a payment has been made.
